Step into one of the world’s leading startup competitions.
This year, Startup World Cup Taiwan is coming to Kaohsiung for the very first time!
We are recruiting university students, graduate students, recent graduates, and young talents from around the world to join the Global Startup Observer Team.
As an Observer, you will experience a world-class startup competition from a unique perspective—observing innovation, connecting across cultures, and sharing your insights on one of the most prestigious startup events in the world.
This is more than just an event.
It’s an opportunity to learn, connect, and experience a truly international innovation ecosystem.
What You’ll Experience
Attend the Startup World Cup Kaohsiung Regional Final (conducted entirely in English)
Observe world-class startup pitches, international judges, venture capitalists, and emerging innovation trends
Connect with students and young professionals from different countries and cultures
Complete an Observer Reflection after the event, sharing your perspectives and insights on innovation, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration
Observer Benefits (for participants who complete the program)
Official Certificate of Participation
(Service-learning hours can also be provided upon request.)
Priority consideration for future international exchange programs and Startup World Cup activities
Outstanding Observer Reflections may be featured on the official Taiwan Startup World Cup social media channels and related publications.
Who Should Apply?
University students, graduate students, or recent graduates
Open to all nationalities — international students are highly encouraged to apply
Curious about entrepreneurship, AI, technology, innovation, or global affairs
Passionate about observing, learning, reflecting, and sharing ideas
Comfortable participating in an English-speaking environment (native-level English is not required)
